The Crew

Pine Forest is a Rover Crew that meets in the North Western suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia. Our predecessors, The Gilberton Rover Crew, were the first Rover Crew in South Australia, upholding the finest Rover traditions and commitment from the 1920's. The Crew meets in the Rover Den at the Flinders Park Scout Hall, 4 Alice Street, Flinders Park, South Australia 5025.

Membership to Pine Forest is open to all young men and women aged between 17.5 and 26 years. Anyone can become a Rover - there's no need to have had any previous involvement with Scouting, or any prior outdoor activities experience.

Membership with Pine forest opens the door to a world of adventure, excitement, challenge, and achievement.

The Crew program strives to find a balance between:

  • challenging outdoor activities such as bushwalking, kayaking, sailing, caving, four-wheel driving, rock-climbing, and scuba diving
  • social activities such as balls, harbour cruises, nights out, car rallies, and "Moots" (gatherings of Rovers on a local, national, and sometimes international level)

The Crew is not afraid to try something new - if you want to do it, then we want to do it!
